Bootle Evangelical Church Calls Next American Interim Pastor

By: Chuck McComb

With Kermit and Henrietta Morris finishing their 6-month assignment on December 13, 2016, it is timely that Bootle Evangelical Church (BEC) has already called their next volunteer American interim pastor. They have called Rev. Jerry Cox (wife Carolyn). The Cox’s plan to arrive at Bootle on December 11, 2016. That will give them a couple of days for orientation and to adjust to the essentials from operation of all things in the manse and church and to the operation of the car.

Jerry and Carolyn Cox

Jerry and Carolyn are from the Springfield, Missouri area. Jerry taught school for 32 years. Jerry says that he can not remember ever wanting to be anything but a teacher. And, God has allowed him to use that gift 38 years as a pastor in addition to school teaching. Carolyn worked many years as a certified nurse assistant and helped with ministry in the church from teaching teenagers and women’s groups to teaching quilting!

Jerry and Carolyn will have been at BEC for 3 or 4 weeks before Malorie McGuff arrives to begin the Bootle Children’s Ministry Initiative. We are all praying that the Lord will richly bless the work of Jerry, Carolyn, Malorie and the fine folk in the village of Bootle and surrounding community. There is a lot of excitement in the village and Captain Shaw’s Primary school about this work with their children.
