Update on AIPM
By: Chuck McCombRecent email to AIPM Board Members, Associates and Friends of AIPM on both sides of the Atlantic,
Some days I think not much is happening in our partnerships with UK churches and am saddened. But, when I read the below, I was a bit blown away. This is from David Hunt’s Newsletter to Durham Road Baptist Church in Gateshead where he serves as pastor. A great deal has been done since summer 2009 and God continues to open doors. We commit to go through those doors when He does.
All of us owe a great debt of gratitude to David Hunt and the Trustees of Gateshead International Ministries which was formed by Durham Road Baptist Church to aid asylum seekers in 2004. In 2009 GIM got UK Border Agency approval to be a registered sponsoring agency. This was done so that GIM could issue certificates of sponsorship and allow our volunteers to get visas and meet all the requirements of the UK Border Agency for doing religious work in the UK–and do it absolutely legally!!!!
Join me in thanking David Hunt and the Trustees of GIM for all they have done. Don’t forget to pray that “God will expand our territory.”
Blessings,
Chuck
